Kanpur Boat Club To Organize State Level Kayaking, Canoeing Championship On March 17 – 18th

The Kanpur Boat Club is all set to organize a state level water sports championship for kayaking and canoeing in association with UP Kayaking Canoeing Association near Ganga Barrage on March 17 & 18. As per the information by Dhawan Kumar, Technical Officer of Boat Club, the championship will witness around 80 players from UP Police and seven districts will participate in the two-day event. A 500 and 800 meters race will be conducted.

Throwing light on the technicalities of the race, Gulab Chandra, Technical Expert of Water Sports shared that the starting point of the race will be about 1 km away from the main ghat of the Boat Club. The finish point will be Boat Club Ghat. Not just that, he also informed that at Boat Club, organizing international level water sports events is possible too.

The event will also include segments like boat march past, a fantastic display of water skiing and dragon boat to provide a thrilling show to the audience. The Boat Club is also in preparation to organize national level competitions at the end of the year.
