admin

The ill effects of carbon emission are not unknown to the mankind. With the recent fluctuations in weather and extreme temperatures all throughout the country, it's high time that we start taking steps towards the betterment of the planet.

As a noble initiative in this direction, to save the environment from carbon emission due to burning of scrap rubber tyres, Kanpur Nagar Nigam has designed the 'Animal Kingdom from Scrap Tyres', a park where every sculpture has been designed using scrap rubber tyres which have been recycled to their best.

The inauguration ceremony was held on 2nd May, 2022 at 7:30 a.m. at Kargil Park, Motijheel, Kanpur in the presence of special guests: Mayor- Mrs. Pramila Pandey, Divisional Commissioner- Dr. Raj Shekhar, Director IIT Kanpur- Dr. Ajay Karandikar and Municipal Commissioner- Mr. Shivsharanappa G.N.

It is our core responsibility to be mindful of the resources we use and leave a better planet for our upcoming generations. Initiatives like this one must be supported and be contributed towards.
