Kanpur Nagar Nigam will create the city's first dog park, complete with specialty stores selling water and food for pets. To build the dog park, the Nagar Aayukt has directed the Chief Veterinary Officer to choose an urban park and turn it into a dog park.

The new ABC Centre in Kishanpur was examined by the Municipal Commissioner. The ABC Center's primary goal is to sterilise stray dogs. According to a directive from Municipal Commissioner Sudhir Kumar, 40 dogs must be sterilised daily and the centre must run at maximum capacity.

The park will have pathways, a selfie area, dog training equipment, an exercise area, a fountain, lawns, and a splash pool. It was inspired by similar establishments in Hyderabad and Bengaluru. The park will also include a cafe with the goal of giving pet owners and their animals a calm environment. The park's goal is to give pets and their owners a permanent location where they may enjoy some peaceful time together.

The installation of six coolers in each dog kennel and an increase in the number of coolers in the centre have been instructed. According to the Chief Veterinary Officer, the center's veterinary surgeon performs roughly 20 procedures every day.

This will be a huge boon for pet parents and it was long due in the city too!
