Jyotirlinga Park To Be Built In Kanpur: Darshan & Picnic In One Sacred Destination

Kanpur's Jyotirlinga Park: A Fusion of Spirituality and Eco-Friendly Design

Kanpur is set to welcome a unique spiritual and recreational destination with the construction of the Jyotirlinga Park, a visionary project that beautifully blends devotion with leisure.

At the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh, PM Modi and CM Yogi hailed the Jyotirlinga Park, which would now be constructed for the first time in Kanpur. This will be the state's second Jyotirlinga Park. Families will be able to come to this park and witness all 12 Jyotirlingas simultaneously.

Kanpur is all set to host a one-of-a-kind spiritual and eco-friendly destination with the development of Jyotirlinga Park in Panki. This innovative park will not only offer devotees a chance to witness replicas of the sacred 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva but will also stand as a shining example of sustainable design, with the statues being crafted entirely from waste materials under the “Waste to Riches” initiative.

At a cost of Rs 12 crore, this park would be constructed on 12 acres of land. In this park, the Municipal Corporation will also host a light and sound display. To enter the park, visitors will need to purchase tickets.

According to Municipal Commissioner Sudhir Kumar, just as people can visit the Anandeshwar temple on the Ganga and experience Lord Shiva's darshan, they can also visit Jyotirlinga Park and spend time with their families. At the same time, they will be able to visit and worship twelve Jyotirlingas. He mentioned that he and his group had been to Prayagraj park. The same company that constructed the park in Prayagraj has been tasked with creating the park.

This park is expected to significantly boost religious tourism and local employment, while also raising awareness about waste management and environmental responsibility.

With construction to begin soon, Jyotirlinga Park in Panki will soon stand as a symbol of sacredness, sustainability, and civic innovation—offering darshan, delight, and a deep message all in one visit.
