Good news for Kanpur residents! After being shut down for years, Parag Dairy will soon reopen. The National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) has received in-principle consent from the Uttar Pradesh government to run Parag Dairy for 10 years under a lease. Kanpur MP Ramesh Awasthi's personal initiative and persistent efforts have led to this accomplishment.
NDDB is finishing up the preparations to run the dairy. Pure milk, curd, cheese, and other dairy products under the Parag brand will be sold in Kanpur's stores and on the streets starting in July.
In addition to reviving a production facility, MP Ramesh Awasthi's initiative to revitalise Parag Dairy aims to uplift farmers and strengthen Kanpur's dairy ecosystem. Supply is expected to begin in July 2025, and this project is part of a larger push for economic growth and self-reliance.
The relaunch of Parag will offer a low-cost, pure, and dependable substitute in the current market, where adulteration is on the rise and branded products are expensive. Quality milk products will be available to consumers at government prices. 'Developed Kanpur' is seen as a significant stride forward thanks to MP Ramesh Awasthi's effort.
