The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) is gearing up to host one of the country’s most prestigious scientific gatherings — the 48th All India Cell Biology Conference & Symposium (AICBCS-2025). Scheduled from 7 to 9 December 2025, the three-day event will bring together India’s leading scientists, researchers, educators, and students to explore the latest breakthroughs in the world of cell biology.
The annual AICBCS conference is the flagship event of the Indian Society of Cell Biology (ISCB) and has, for decades, served as a national forum for exchange of ideas, research collaborations, and scientific learning. By hosting the 48th edition, IIT Kanpur reinforces its growing influence in the field of biosciences, especially through its Department of Biological Sciences & Bioengineering (BSBE).
This year’s theme, “From Cell to Therapeutics,” reflects a forward-looking vision — emphasizing how fundamental discoveries at the cellular level can pave the way for next-generation therapies, diagnostics, and biomedical innovations.
Each session will feature invited talks by senior scientists and researchers from India’s top institutes, offering insights into both foundational science and cutting-edge advancements.
Venue: Main Auditorium, IIT Kanpur campus.
Dates: 7–9 December 2025.
It not only celebrates scientific excellence but also sets a roadmap for the future — where insights “from the cell” lead to meaningful therapeutic breakthroughs for society.
