Kanpur is set to strengthen its air connectivity with the national capital as regular daily flights between Kanpur and Delhi will restart from September 16. The much-awaited announcement comes as a relief to frequent travelers, with ticket bookings already open.
Until now, the Kanpur-Delhi flight was operating only three days a week, which often caused inconvenience to business travelers, students, and families relying on the route. The limited frequency meant that passengers had to either plan their trips around the restricted schedule or opt for alternatives like traveling via Lucknow or relying on trains.
The resumption of daily flights is expected to significantly improve Kanpur’s connectivity with Delhi, one of the busiest air routes in the country. The daily service is not only a convenience for passengers but also a positive step for Kanpur’s business and education sectors. With Delhi being a major hub for trade, corporate activity, and higher education, the improved connectivity will support faster travel, encourage business growth, and enhance opportunities for the city’s residents.
Travelers are already expressing relief at the move, as regular flights will now allow them to plan same-day returns, attend urgent meetings, and reduce reliance on rail journeys that often take longer.
