In a landmark move towards transforming India’s healthcare delivery, the ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth, the CSR arm of ICICI Bank, has partnered with the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) to create a state-of-the-art Digital Health Stack aimed at revolutionizing public healthcare systems — starting with Uttar Pradesh.

The ICICI Foundation has promised IIT Kanpur ₹34 crore to fund this program. IIT Kanpur established a special Innovation Lab on campus to advance the development. Mr. Pradeep Kumar Sinha, Chairman of ICICI Bank, officially opened this lab in front of Prof. Manindra Agarwal, Director of IIT Kanpur, and Mr. Rakesh Jha, Executive Director of ICICI Bank.

KEY OBJECTIVES:

1. Deployable healthcare technologies for evidence-based, person-focused digital delivery.

2. Enhance chronic disease detection through AI-integrated MedTech devices.

3. Improve point-of-care (POC) services and digital readiness in public health facilities throughout Uttar Pradesh.

The ICICI Foundation–IIT Kanpur partnership is more than a tech project — it’s a public health transformation movement. With AI, IoT, and real-time data at its core, the Digital Health Stack could well become India’s backbone for universal digital healthcare in the coming decade.

Stay tuned with Kanpur Wants for more such updates.
