Kanpur is all set to witness another major cricketing event as the Green Park Stadium has been chosen to host the grand final of the Uttar Pradesh T20 (UPT20) League Season 4.
The Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) has announced that this year's tournament will be played in a two-city format, with the opening match scheduled at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow, while the championship clash will take place at Kanpur's iconic Green Park Stadium.
The decision further strengthens Green Park's reputation as one of Uttar Pradesh's premier cricket venues and promises an exciting end to the state's biggest domestic T20 tournament.
The UPCA and the UPT20 League governing council finalized the details for the tournament, which will run from August 14 to September 6, 2026.
Around 34 Matches Planned Across Lucknow and Kanpur:
The upcoming edition of the UPT20 League is expected to feature around 34 matches.
Ekana Stadium, Lucknow is likely to host 20 to 22 matches, including the opening phase of the tournament.
Green Park Stadium, Kanpur is expected to stage 10 to 12 matches during the second phase, including the much-awaited UPT20 League Season 4 Final.
This two-venue format aims to expand the tournament's reach while allowing cricket fans in both cities to enjoy live T20 action.
