Kanpur has a new District Magistrate. Mahendra Singh Tanwar has officially taken charge as the 59th District Magistrate of Kanpur, as per the directions of the Uttar Pradesh government.
With the new appointment, Tanwar will oversee the district administration and key governance-related matters in Kanpur. His responsibilities will include coordinating administrative work and implementing government directives across the district.
The appointment comes as part of the Uttar Pradesh government’s ongoing administrative changes. Kanpur residents can expect further updates on district-level governance and administration as the new DM settles into the role.
