The Kanpur Metro Rail Project recently got a significant upgrade as the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) completed the construction of 276 pile caps of the 5-km long elevated section from Baradevi to Naubasta of Corridor 1. The five metro stations that fall in this section, namely Baradevi, Kidwai Nagar, Vasant Vihar, Baudh Nagar and Naubasta are also being developed.

On completing this significant task, the UPMRC Managing Director, Sushil Kumar shared on X, “We have completed the casting of all 276 Pile Caps for this section and will soon complete the casting of all the piers. The team of engineers of Uttar Pradesh Metro is working day and night to provide timely metro service to the city residents.
