Know All About Operation Trinetra And How Cameras Will Serve As The Police's Eyes

Police have begun pounding on doors as part of Operation Trinetra to keep an eye on Kanpur city. People whose CCTV cameras are by the side of the road are being approached as part of the 'Har Ghar Dastak' campaign. When such individuals are approached by the police, they will be asked to adjust their viewpoint in order to cover not only their residence but also the nearby road or intersection.

The plan aims to blanket around 35,000 crossroads throughout the city. Merchants, corporate groups, etc. will be in charge of installing and maintaining CCTV cameras at significant crossroads. Trinetra Mitra, who will also have a direct WhatsApp connection to senior officials, is the name of the individuals who use the BPO system to secure the street or neighbourhood.

This will assist in monitoring the people and cars travelling down the road in addition to keeping an eye on anyone entering the house. Police Commissioner Akhil Kumar initiated the campaign, following which police officers have begun initiating interactions. According to CP, the goal is to finish this work within the next two months. People are going to assist in making the city safe.
