Budhsens Sweets, a name synonymous with tradition and taste in Uttar Pradesh, has taken a remarkable leap into the future of culinary education. In a groundbreaking move, the iconic sweet brand has partnered with the School of Hotel Management, Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU), Kanpur, to launch a Certified Program in Indian Sweets under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
This first-of-its-kind initiative aims to bridge the gap between age-old culinary traditions and modern hospitality education. Through this collaboration, students will receive hands-on training in the art and science of Indian sweet-making – an integral part of the country's rich food culture.
The program will combine Budhsens’ decades of expertise in traditional mithai craftsmanship with CSJMU’s academic rigor and world-class facilities. Students enrolled will not only learn authentic techniques but also gain insights into the business, hygiene, packaging, and innovation aspects of the sweets industry.
Speaking about the launch, representatives from both Budhsens Sweets and CSJMU expressed excitement over how this partnership would empower the next generation of culinary professionals and help preserve the legacy of Indian sweets.
This initiative stands as a shining example of how academia and industry can come together to create meaningful, skill-based opportunities for youth while keeping India’s rich gastronomic heritage alive.
