Section 144 Imposed In Kanpur Till March 25, Here Are The Things That Have Been Banned
Section 144 has been imposed in Kanpur district from February 1 to March 25 by the police. This 54 days ban has been issued by Joint CP Anand Prakash Tiwari on Thursday, 2 February 2024. Any kind of publicity has been banned from hotels to dharamshalas to even social media posts.
Many bans have been imposed including posting of provocative speeches on social media. Here is a list of rules that have been imposed.
1. It is mandatory to conduct verification of people coming to stay in hotels, hostels and dharamshalas. Shopkeepers and tenants living in the houses have also been included in the list. Boys and girls living in hostels will also be verified.
2. Verification of employees working in lodges, spas, massage centers, beauty parlours, house and building construction workers and other companies. Submission of ID proof of these employees will be compulsory.
3. Prohibition on playing songs on loudspeakers from 10 pm to 6 am.
4. Social media will be monitored to ensure no provocative speech is posted by anyone. If it happens, it will be the responsibility of the administrator. Strict action will be taken against those who violate these rules.
Besides this, the police will patrol the entire city on foot for the duration of this ban.
