The Mandhana-Anwarganj elevated railway track is now being built, which is the cause of the traffic congestion that affects thousands of people along GT Road. On the Agriculture Department's property in front of the elevated track and Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University (CSJMU), the land purchase procedure for the Bharat Ratna former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee station has begun.

About 50 lakh people will receive relief when the project, which is anticipated to be finished by 2027, removes 18 railway crossings. For this, the administration has asked the government for Rs 52 crore. The elevated track construction tender will also be released by June, following acceptance of the funding for the submitted plan.

If claims are to be believed, 50 significant and long-distance trains will operate on other railway routes. There will be enough room remaining parallel to the elevated rail for a future track. In 2004, there was a call for the Mandhna Anwarganj elevated railway track to be built. Along with the general population, this campaign also involves traders, social organisations, and official authorities. In 2024, a campaign was started for the track after it had been built multiple times and the issue remained unresolved.

The areas that will be acquired for the elevated track's construction have been identified by the district administration, and the neighbouring development has also been noted. The locations have been indicated by the Lekhpal crew. From Anwarganj, Jarib Chowki, Gumti, Coca-Cola Crossing, Rawatpur, and Kalyanpur to Mandhana, marking has been completed.
