

Kanpur woke up to zero visibility this morning and the city is shivering! The Kanpur District Magistrate has ordered the shutdown of schools due to the severity of cold in Kanpur. Due to the cold wave, District Magistrate Rakesh Kumar has ordered that all schools up to class 8 be closed from January 7 to 11.
According to him, this directive must be properly adhered to by all schools. Action will be taken against any school that is discovered to be open during this time.
A cold wave warning has been issued by the Meteorological Department for the upcoming days. Due to the cold weather, he has also directed that courses for students in classes 9 through 12 in those schools whose holidays have not been announced be held virtually as much as possible between January 7 and January 11. The school for students in grades 9 through 12 will be open from10:00 am to 3:00 pm if there is no online arrangement.
The administration of the school will be in charge of making the necessary preparations to keep these pupils warm in their classrooms, and they will make sure that heaters and other heating devices are employed to keep the temperature in each room at a comfortable level.
Students are no longer required to wear uniforms, and it is recommended that they dress warmly so they can withstand the cold when they arrive at school.
