Mini IPL matches will now be held at Green Park Stadium following the IPL and UP T-20 League. The Kanpur Cricket Association's Kanpur Premier League (KPL) final copy is ready. Green Park Stadium will host the league from February 28 to March 9.
The auction of players for the T20 format league will be held in the first week of February. Four grades of players have been selected to participate. They have set their base pricing between 5,000 and 30,000 rupees. Finding better players for the UP team, IPL, and UP T20 League will be facilitated by the KPL.
Six Franchises To Purchase Their Preferred Player:
Six league teams will purchase their preferred players at the auction. In a day or two, the Kanpur Cricket Association will be able to announce a major platform for the city's cricket players and fans. Similar to the IPL, the KPL will take place during the final week of February. Six teams will compete against one another in day-night T-20 matches. Players will be auctioned off, much like in the IPL, to spark interest in cricket in the city and to showcase new players' skill.
The Kanpur Cricket Association's (KCA) 74th Annual General Meeting approved the KPL, which is modelled after the Indian Premier League. It will include players from every part of the city. The KPL will comprise players from Ranji to Board Trophy, and teams will purchase them based on their grade. KPL will be crucial in developing young players by providing them with a stage.
