The good news for Kanpur residents is that they will have five new metro stations from the new year. In addition, they will be able to experience the metro ride in the tunnel for the first time. From Moti Jheel to Kanpur Central Railway Station, the metro project is finished.

A test run from Motijheel to Kanpur Central Station was successfully finished by Kanpur Metro for the first time. Both the up-line and down-line tracks were used during the test run. On this occasion, senior Metro executives were in attendance.

The extension of passenger services from IIT to Kanpur Central, which is scheduled to begin in January 2025, has advanced significantly as a result of this. Work is moving quickly at all stations from Motijheel to Kanpur Central, and regular trial runs on this route will soon begin.

There are now nine elevated metro stations in Kanpur, which connects IIT Kanpur to Moti Jheel. Five more stations, Chunniganj, Naveen Market, Bada Chauraha, Nayaganj, and Kanpur Central, will soon be added. The metro train will travel through the tunnel at each of these underground stations.

After Metro Corporation completes a full-speed metro trial run after December 25th, people's desire to visit these stations will be fulfilled starting in the new year.
