In the board meeting, Chief Secretary Manoj Singh approved the construction of a four-lane bridge that will connect Kanpur and Trans Ganga City. The bridge would cost Rs 538.10 crore and be constructed in 36 months. The Setu Nigam has been entrusted with the construction job.

But the location of the bridge's landing has not yet been approved by the government. The government received a proposal from the bridge construction committee six months prior, suggesting that the bridge next to Sarsaiya Ghat and Green Park be demolished. The Sarsaiya Ghat offers the greatest opportunity for unloading.

Since 2018, requests for proposals to construct a bridge linking Trans Ganga City and Kanpur have been made. When the ancient Ganga bridge started to crumble, it was permanently blocked. Following that, individuals had a lengthy journey to travel from Lucknow, Unnao to Kanpur.

Trans Ganga City was the main target of its effects. The bridge's construction was planned in order to expedite the city's development. From Sarsaiyaghat, travelling to Shuklaganj, Unnao, and Lucknow will be quite simple. The bridge was inspected by the construction committee six months prior to its dismantling.

The planned bridge from Trans Ganga will be 1.8 kilometres long. The Uttar Pradesh State Bridge Corporation has been designated as the project's nodal agency. The estimated cost of construction is Rs 538.10 crore. The bridge must be built by the building company in the allotted period.
