Kanpur Lok Sabha MP Shri Ramesh Awasthi met India's distinguished Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on March 28 in Delhi. MP Awasthi covered a number of significant subjects pertaining to Kanpur's overall growth during this conference.
MP Awasthi honoured PM Modi as the great leader of the *Sanatan Nav Jagran* (Eternal New Awakening) by presenting him with a special memento. Additionally, he gave a *"Mann Ki Baat"* diary that he had composed himself.
MP Awasthi informed PM Modi during the meeting about the state of the abandoned mills in Kanpur and the potential for their resuscitation. He also went into great length about other important topics pertaining to his Lok Sabha seat.
According to MP Awasthi, PM Modi placed a strong focus on promoting cleanliness awareness when he introduced the *"Mann Ki Baat"* initiative in 2014. Motivated by this, MP Awasthi also launched a toll-free number for cleanliness, spearheaded the nation's first *Swachhata Jan Jagrukta Yatra* (Cleanliness Public Awareness March), and actively participated in a number of other campaigns as part of the Swachhata Abhiyan.
The MP provided information on significant projects, including the construction of the outer ring road, the elevation of the Mandhna-Anwarganj railway track that passes through Kanpur, the beginning of power generation at the Panki Power House, Kanpur Metro, and the GT Road elevated road.
