NATRAX And IIT Kanpur Collaborate To Deal With Emissions From Vehicles!

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed by the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT-K) and National Automotive test tracks (NATRAX) to enable cooperation on Real Drive Emission (RDE) and Emission Norms, as well as other areas as considered appropriate in the future.

An official statement claims that the innovative collaboration would revolutionise the automotive research domain, particularly in the area of vehicle emissions. The goal of this strategic partnership is to share information and work on the emission norms, particularly with regard to the most recent EU Standards, in order to develop creative solutions that the industry can use in the future.

Building on this Memorandum of Understanding, future collaborations will focus on new rules pertaining to battery disposal, engine and flex fuels, and transportation safety. Additionally, it was decided to work towards creating internship programmes at NATRAX for M.Tech students at IIT Kanpur.
