The Delhi-NCR model is being used in this area with the goal of promoting balanced and coordinated urbanisation under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's vision. These 8 districts will similarly be built like Delhi-NCR. Its goal is to advance integrated residential, infrastructure, and industrial development. The goal of the integrated development of Kanpur and the surrounding regions is to encourage industry throughout the area.

Within its boundaries are Kanpur, Kanpur Dehat, Banda, Fatehpur, Jalaun, Auraiya, Hamirpur, and Kannauj.

A group of professionals will be assembled to ensure that this project is carried out successfully. Transparency and accountability will be guaranteed by the development of an efficient system to track the work's advancement in accordance with the master plan.

At the centre of this change lies Kanpur, one of the oldest and most prominent industrial cities in the state. In order to get things anchored by 2051, the KDA has already started the process of creating a master plan based on geographic information systems (GIS).

This project will entice business owners to make coordinated investments. In addition to creating more jobs locally, structures like industrial districts, special economic zones, and logistical hubs will give them a stable and secure environment.

The Master Plan-2051 will provide a detailed description of regional land use. To maintain a balance between development and the environment, agricultural, residential, commercial, industrial, and public land shall all be classified scientifically and fairly.

Unbalanced urban development has been an issue for Kanpur and the districts that surround it thus far. These districts are now prioritising planned development under the recently enacted Uttar Pradesh State Capital Region and Other Areas Development Authority Act, 2024.

In order to develop the Kanpur region along the lines of Delhi-NCR, KREEDA is being established. Its goal is to make sure that the region's urbanisation is organised and balanced so that every area has access to the same resources and possibilities.
