31 IAS officers were transferred by the Yogi government! Rakesh Kumar Singh, the former Kanpur DM, has been moved and appointed as the Chief Minister's secretary. The newly appointed DM of Kanpur is Jitendra Pratap Singh. Prior to this, Jitendra Pratap Singh served as Kanpur Dehat's DM.
Who Is Jitendra Pratap Singh?
After Baghpat, Jitendra Pratap Singh was appointed DM of Kanpur, and he has maintained the position consistently because of his outstanding job. Jitendra Pratap Singh was born on March 15, 1972, and hails from Farrukhabad.
After completing his MA studies, Jitendra Pratap Singh was chosen by UPPSC to be a PCS officer in the State Administrative Services Examination. In 2013, he was appointed as a PCS officer.
On May 31, 2019, he was promoted to the position of IAS. Before this, from April 28, 2017, until July 12, 2019, he served as Additional Director at Mandi Parishad, Lucknow. From July 12, 2019, to March 2, 2021, Jitendra Pratap Singh served as the Director of the State Agricultural Production Mandi Parishad in Lucknow.
He was thereafter appointed DM of Kanpur Dehat, a position he held until April 14, 2022. He was subsequently sent to Deoria, where he served as DM until June 2, 2023. He was moved to Baghpat from here. He has now been tasked with overseeing Kanpur.
