Kanpur is brimming with joy as KPL season is on! The Kanpur Premier League (KPL) achieved a new record and a high standard of excellence with its opening ceremony, which was televised by Doordarshan and watched in over 200 nations around the world.

The Kanpur Cricket Association runs the KPL, a cricket competition with a framework similar to the Indian Premier League. It was the first time in cricket history that a district cricket league with local players was telecast live on Doordarshan and aired throughout the world.

They changed the original slogan from "Khelega Kanpur, Dekhegi Duniya" to "Kanpur Dekhegi Duniya." According to Sanjay Kapoor, the head of the Kanpur Cricket Association, the KCA has signed broadcasting deals with a number of stations in Asia, Africa, Europe, and America, including Pakistan.

Owners of the UP T-20 competition and the Indian Premier League, which is well-known throughout the world, may see local cricket players' performances in this competition, which gives them a stage similar to the IPL.

Lord Ganesh was prayed to before the inaugural event began. The six participating teams were then introduced to Kanpur Cricket Association head Sanjay Kapoor, MP Kanpur Nagar, Govind Nagar MLA Surendra Maithani, Arya Nagar MLA Amitabh Bajpai, and chief guest Ramesh Awasthi.

The patriotic song that opened the cultural program was followed by Ankit Tiwari's riveting performance. There were about 4,000 spectators inside the bowl for the vibrant opening ceremony.
