The majority of people take the Indian Railways, which is thought to be the simplest route. However, they also have to deal with the issue of traffic congestion around this time. The railway and the city government have now made the decision to provide the city's residents with a greater gift, which will mark a significant turning point for the Kanpur community.

A proposal to offer the public a gift by permanently destroying the city's two old railway stations and constructing a new one in their stead has been sent in relation to the Mandana-Anwarganj elevated track in Kanpur.

During a meeting between the district administration and railway officials, the new station plan was considered. The meeting concluded that the stations in Rawatpur and Kalyanpur will be eliminated. In their stead, a new station will be constructed. This would bear the name of the nation's former prime minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee. A blueprint has been created for its construction in front of Kanpur University.

For almost two years, rail travel on this line will be paused to allow for construction, with necessary trains being rerouted to other routes. Furthermore, the high-tension electricity lines that presently run parallel to the railway track will be rerouted by the Kanpur Electricity Supply Company (KESCO). It is anticipated that the elevated railway line  will relieve the everyday traffic jams brought on by the city's ground-level tracks.
