A footwear park is expected to be established by the Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) adjacent to the proposed mega leather cluster in Ramaipur. The facility, which spans 130.403 acres, will focus on producing shoes and other goods using leather and other materials.

The plot application process was started by the authority, and when the demand documents and expressions of interest (EoI) were made available online, a number of business owners contacted the leadership of the authority to enquire about the project. 

Additionally, land acquisition for a giant leather cluster spanning 102 hectares in Ramaipur has been completed. The administration and Mega Leather Cluster Development UP Limited are now in talks on exchanging 35 hectares.

With a potential total investment of over 5,000 crore rupees, the cluster needs an initial investment of 800 crore rupees. About 400 industrial facilities, including tanneries, are to be established as part of the program. The location of the footwear park close to this cluster was chosen by CEO Mayur Maheshwari.

Manufacturing, tanning, and all other activities pertaining to leather products will be housed in the park. The facility will also facilitate the production of non-leather footwear and related byproducts. Soon, land rates per square metre will be revealed, and the allocation procedure will start immediately after.
