Another major milestone has been attained by the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited in the ongoing building of the Baradevi-Naubasta elevated segment, which is a part of the Kanpur metro rail project's route 1.

The casting yard has finished the 348th and last U-Girder of the Baradevi-Naubasta elevated corridor. This completes the casting process for all pre-cast structures, including pier tops, double T-girders, and I-girders. A significant achievement is the casting of all pre-cast structures, including pier caps, U-girders, I-girders, and double-t girders, throughout this roughly 5-kilometre stretch.

Construction is now moving quickly on two underground portions of the Kanpur Metro Rail Project: Chuniganj - Nayaganj and Kanpur Central - Transport Nagar. These sections are being built alongside the Baradevi-Naubasta elevated segment, which is a component of Corridor-1. Furthermore, work on the underground corridor-2 segment between Rawatpur and Double Pulia has also started.
